This translation is intended for people who already know English and are learning Japanese. It is not intended to be used to learn English, because the sentences in English may use strange or awkward wording in order to illustrate the vocabulary and grammar of the original Japanese.
This game's text originally used little to no kanji. We have added kanji in case they would be of interest.

Intro

Japanese
宇宙人友だち、ガズー平和な日々すごしていた フリントストーンいっかところがある日・・・。
English
The Flintstone was spending peaceful days with their alien friend, Gazoo. Then one day...
  • The の in 宇宙人の友達 is an appositive. It's sort of like saying "friend who is an alien".
  • This is a case of taigendome (体言止め), ending a sentence with a noun to emphasize it.
Japanese
まばゆいばかりと共にぶきみなタイムマシンが フリントストーンいっか前にあらわれました
English
With a completely dazzling light, an eerie time machine appeared in front of the Flintstone family.
Japanese
「わたしのはハトラー。原始どうぶつ未来の どうぶつえん入れるため 30世紀からやってきた びょうりがくしゃなのでア~ル。」と告げ、ディノと ホッピーをつれ去ってしまいました
English
"My name is Butler. I'm a pathologist who came from the 30th century to put prehistoric animals in a future zoo," he revealed, and kidnapped Dino and Hoppy.

でアール = である, a more formal form of だ.

TODO — Can びょうりがくしゃ mean anything other than "pathologist"?

Japanese
どうじにバトラーは フレッドたちがおってこれないようガズーのタイムマシンをバラバラにし、ぶひんを かくちにばらまいてしまったのでした。
English
TODO — Missing text
Japanese
フレッドたち未来つれ去られたディノとホッピーをたすけるためにかくちちったタイムマシンの ぶひんみつめ再びタイムマシンを完成させねば なりませんでした。
English
In order to rescue Dino and Hoppy, who were kidnapped into the future, Fred and his friends had to complete the time machine, which was scattered into various places, once again.

させねば = させなければ

The Great Gazoo

Japanese
なにか ようかい、フレッド?
Kanji
何か用かい、フレッド?
English
Is there something you want me to do, Fred?

かい is a masculine question marker that, though friendly in tone, isn't used in polite speech. Here it's equivalent to ですか.

Japanese English
フライ Fly
ジャンプ Jump
ダイブ Dive
キャンセル Cancel
Japanese
今はつかえないよ!
Kanji
今は使えないよ!
English
You can't use it now.
Japanese
オーケー!
English
OK!

Barney

Japanese
や~ フレッド

久しぶり。

English
Hey Fred. It's been a while.
Japanese
この先のたきをのぼったところに 毛だらけの原人がいるんだ。
Kanji
この先の滝を上ったところに毛だらけの原人がいるんだ。
English
In the place after you've climbed the waterfall up ahead, there's a hairy caveman.

毛だらけ = covered with hair

Japanese
ぼくはそいつがタイムマシンのぶひんを もってくところをみたんだ。
Kanji
僕はそいつがタイムマシンの部品をもってくところを見たんだ。
English
I saw that guy about to take away a part of the time machine.

もってく = もって行く, to take, carry

ところ here is the "about" in "about to take away".

Japanese
ぼくもヤツとたたかったんだが うばいかえすことが出来なかった・・・。
Kanji
僕も奴と戦ったんだが、奪い返すことが出来なかった・・・。
English
I also fought with him, but I couldn't get it back.
Japanese
な~に きみのパワーなら大丈夫さ! ヤツも相当つかれている。
Kanji
な~に君のパワーなら大丈夫さ! 奴も相当疲れている。
English
But hey, it should be no trouble for your power! The guy's already all tired out.

This 君のパワーなら大丈夫 construction -- literally "if it's your power, it's OK", is a bit odd, but it's common.

The さ after 大丈夫 doesn't particularly mean anything.

Here the ている refers to a continuing condition rather than indicating the progressive, which we've translated here with "already".

Japanese
せっきんせんで ヤッツケロ!!
Kanji
接近戦でヤッツケロ!!
English
Use close-quarter combat and GET HIM!

Wilma

Japanese

Kanji
私も何個か拾ったんだけど、マンモスがいて大事な部品が拾えなかったの。
English
I tried to picked some pieces, but there was a mammoth and I couldn't pick up an important piece.
Japanese
ディノとホッピーはぶじかしら。あとは あなたに 任せたわ。
Kanji
ディノとホッピーは無事かしら。後はあなたに任せたわ。
English
I wonder if Dino and Hoppy are safe. I'll leave the rest to you.
Japanese
がんばって! フレッド。
Kanji
頑張って! フレッド。

Hang in there, Fred!

George Jetson

Japanese

Japanese
