This translation is intended for people who already know English and are learning Japanese. It is not intended to be used to learn English, because the sentences in English may use strange or awkward wording in order to illustrate the vocabulary and grammar of the original Japanese.
This game's text originally used little to no kanji. We have added kanji in case they would be of interest.

Intro

Japanese
あるひのこと・・・バスターバニーは いえで くつろいで テレビをみていた

すると・・・

Kanji
或る日の事・・・バスター・バニーは家で寛いでテレビを見ていた。すると・・・
English
One day... Buster Bunny was relaxing at home watching TV when...

ある [noun] is a common idiom for "a certain [noun]", literally "a [noun] that exists". ある日 is thus literally "(On) a certain (unspecified) day". It's used where you'd see "One day," in English.

すると is an idiom meaning "whereupon" or "thereupon". It can be seen as a conjunction, though it's just する followed by conditional と.

TODO — Comment on のこと.

Japanese
とつぜん テレビに モンタナ マックスのかおが あらわれた
Kanji
突然テレビにモンタナ・マックスの顔が現れた。
English
suddenly, Montana Max's face appeared on the TV.
Japanese
「ヘイ バニー! バブスバニーは おれが あずかったぞ!」
Kanji
「ヘイ、バニー! バブス・バニーは俺が預かったぞ!」
English
"Hey, Bunny! I've got Babs Bunny in my custody!"
Japanese
「バスター たすけて! たすけて! たすけて! たすけて!」
Kanji
「バスター! 助けて! 助けて! 助けて! 助けて!」
English
"Buster! Help! Help! Help! Help!"
Japanese
「ごらんのとおりだ! くやしかったら ここまで たすけにくるんだな! ハッハッハッハッ・・・」
Kanji
「ご覧の通りだ! 悔しかったらここまで助けに来るんだな! ハッハッハッハッ・・・」
English
"It is as you see! If you regret this, come over here to rescue her! Ha ha ha ha..."

This translation is very awkward -- Monty would never talk that way -- but it helps illustrate the Japanese wording.

The んだ here indicates a command rather than an explanation.

Japanese
「たいへんだ! いそいでたすけなくちゃ バブスがあぶない!!」
Kanji
「大変だ! 急いで助けなくちゃバブスが危ない!!」
English
"This is terrible! If I don't hurry and rescue Babs, she'll be in danger!"

助けなくちゃ = 助けなくては, a conditional construction.

Japanese
ハイ シャーリー・ザ・ルーンよ わたしは よげんしゃなの
Kanji
ハイ、シャーリー・ザ・ルーンよ。私は預言者なの。
English
Hi, I'm Shirley the Loon. I'm a fortune-teller.

だ becomes な before explanatory の.

Japanese
あなたのパートナーを 3にんの なかから えらんでね
Kanji
貴方のパートナーを3人の中から選んでね。
English
Choose your partner from among these three.
Japanese
パッドでえらんで (A)ボタンでけっていよ
Kanji

English

Japanese
つぎのエリアは [name]を つれていくといいわよ
Kanji
次のエリアは[name]を連れて行くといいわよ。
English
For the next area, it would be good to take [name] with you.

This is a very common way to express the idea that you "should" do something. The Japanese don't like explicitly telling somebody that they have an obligation, even a mild one, to do something, so instead they tend to say "It would be good if..."

Japanese
じゃあ またね
English
Well, see ya.

Hamton

Japanese
やあ ぼくはハムトン
Kanji
やあ、僕はハムトン。
English
Hi, I'm Hamton.
Japanese
きみがもってきた にんじん 30ぽんでのこりすうを ひとり ふやしてあげるよ

君の持ってきた人参30本で残り数を一人増やして上げるよ。
English
For [every] 30 carrots you brought with you, I will increase your number [of lives] remaining by one man.
Japanese
それじゃ いくつあるのか かぞえてみるね
Kanji
それじゃいくつ有るのか数えてみるね。
English
Well then, I'll count how many there are.
Japanese
・・・・・ざんねんだけど ちょっと にんじんが すくなっかったみたいだね
Kanji
・・・・・残念だけど、ちょっと人参が少なかったみたいだね。
English
...I'm sorry, but it seems there were too few carrots.

みたい = to seem; similar. Do not confuse with 見たい.

Japanese
もっと たくさんあつめて また あいにきてね
Kanji
もっと沢山集めて又会いに来てね。
English
Collect a whole bunch more and come see me again.

会 is meet as in "meeting someone"; 合 is meet as in "fit, go together, meet a standard".

Ending

Japanese
・・・・・モンタナは バスターたちに こらしめられ・・・
Kanji
・・・・・モンタナはバスター達に懲らしめられ・・・
English
Montana was taught a lesson by Buster and friends, and...

The form 懲らしめられ (連用形) is usually used to connect multiple sentences, here intentionally used to create and open sentence that is continued below "chastise/punish...". Contrasting with 懲らしめられて, the connection established by this form is more loose.

Japanese
バスターたちの かつやくで バブスはぶじに たすけだされた
Kanji
バスター達の活躍でバブスは無事に助け出された。
English
through the effort of Buster and friends, Babs was safely helped out of trouble.

活躍 means "impressive efforts/achievements".

Japanese
こうして ようきで ゆかいな アクミ エイカーズにもどり バスターたちにも たのしい せいかつがもどってきたのだ
Kanji
こうして陽気で愉快なアクミ・エイカーズに戻り,バスター達にも楽しい生活が戻ってきたのだ。
English
Thus Buster and friends returned to cheerful, happy Acme Acres, and an enjoyable life returned to them.

戻り: See two sentence above.

Japanese
・・・・・・・・・ということで

お・し・ま・い!!

Kanji
………ということで、お仕舞い!!
English
And so, it's THE END!

ということで means "accordingly, with that".
