The below button will convert kanji to kana. This is not foolproof and may require some editing.
The below button runs a formatting fixer for you. What it does is it merges dakuten and handakuten in the selected text. For example, か゛ (two characters) will become が (one character), which is prettier and makes text easier to search for.
To run the fixer, first select the text in the edit box that you wish to reformat, then click the button.
The fixer does not work in IE (as of IE 8), but it should work in other popular browsers.
