This was released in Japan as 西遊記ワールドⅡ 天上界の魔神. Unlike its American counterpart, which stars a Native American, it is based more directly on Journey to the West (西遊記), the story of the Son Goku, the Monkey King. It is the sequel to another game called simply 西遊記ワールド, which was unreleased in the US.
